As part of our personalised home care services for the elderly, we take time upon admission to speak in depth with each resident and their family. This helps us gain a clear understanding of their individual needs, interests, hobbies, and preferences—from favourite foods to daily routines.
We treat each resident as an individual. By understanding our residents’ needs, preserving dignity, and respecting independence, we strive to create a real sense of home.
We also focus on meeting their emotional and physical needs, as well as their companionship and social needs.
Our kitchen chef and her team cook nutritious and varied meals daily. Specialist diets and needs are catered for. She enjoys producing well-balanced, homemade, and nutritious meals.
The residents are offered various choices if they prefer to eat something other than what is offered.
Meals can be eaten in the beautiful and well-furnished dining rooms or in the privacy of your own room.
Our residents lend their voices to the weekly menu and suggest their preferred food.
‘Our Residents’ Food Committee’ meets on a regular basis with the Home’s Catering Manager and the Home Manager to influence the menus at Kilkee Lodge.
We at Kilkee Lodge have a competitive and knowledgeable staff, with regular training programmes and supervision, who would be delighted to arrange for the delivery of regular prescriptions to the home and assist with the administration.
However, should you wish to administer the medications yourself, the staff would support and help you in any way they can.

Activities – Our Activities Coordinators are here seven days a week, offering all types of fun-filled activities to interest you.
We organise a variety of in-house entertainment with artists. We also arrange various trips and excursions to places of interest or to the town.
We recognise the importance of social interaction and welcome numerous ideas and suggestions for your approval.
We provide a laundry service to all our residents (but not dry cleaning), although this can be arranged on your behalf.
We ask all our residents to label their clothes for easy recognition.
At Kilkee Lodge, we offer an on-site hairdressing salon for the convenience of our residents. A professional hairdresser is available every Tuesday and Friday to provide a range of haircare services.
